Rain Rain go away!

Well so far the racing season has been crap! We were supposed to have a practise on Sunday but it was raining so it was cancelled and post poned until Tuesday April 28th. Well Monday was beautiful with the sun shining and blue skies. The perfect day. Tuesday started out over cast and then by 9 am it was pouring rain. Jim from Merritville called and let me know that the racing for that nite was off again! Ahhh. Caleb is so anxious to start the season and the weather is not cooperating. Wed nite the weather is perfect, racing is probably on but we are going to be out celebrating my dad's birthday and having a family dinner. I will have to call to see if there is going to be any racing on Thursday or Sunday. Who knows but hopefully on next Tuesday the weather gods will be in our favour and the weather will be dry and racing will be on. Keep posted next Wednesday for our exciting update!!

First Practise of The Season

Sunday April 19th was our first practise of the season. Each person was allowed out in the track by themself to get a feel for the new track conditions and grading. The banks have been minimized and the track widened this year to minimize bunching in the turns. Caleb's kart has twice the power of last year with a new restrictor plate and jumping 2 classes. For the first time out we did not to bad and now have some ideas of what needs to be adjusted. It feels good to be back on the track and hope that we have a good season. If nothing we will have fun!
